Easter has kept me busy

I have been very busy helping the Easter bunny getting things ready for the Easter baskets. I have been making toy bunnies for all those Easter baskets. The Ways I am Earning Gift Cards and Money online

A few months ago I stopped working full time so I can get some health issues under control. However, I am the type of person that does not like to not contribute to our household financially. I am working every day doing thing to earn money and gift cards so I can purchase what we need and not feel guilty. Now, let me say I am not bringing in a huge amount of money. I am averaging approximately $100 per week. I am going to list the sites that I have already gotten things from so I know they work (not scams). 1. Textbroker - I write assignments and get paid by word. It can take up to 3 days for the client to approve the assignment. You must have $10 to payout and they payout on Thursday nights. 2. Perks - You can earn gift cards by watching videos and doing tasks. It will take a little while but you will get gift cards. 3. instaGC - This site is great. There is a variety of things for you to earn either cash or gift cards. You can request a payout of gift cards at just $1 or request a direct deposit into your bank at $5.00. Puppy

This little guy is all finished and shipped out to his new owner. I got it on good notice (the little boy's mother) that green was the owner's favorite color. Also he is getting this new puppy for his birthday. Hopefully he won't be holding his hope up too high for a live puppy. His owner is turning 4 in just a couple of weeks. I have been keeping busy at my Etsy store . I thought I would share some of my newest works with you.

This is the snuggle blanket I recently knitted. I am also thinking I am going to make some fleece blankets and add animal's to them such as teddy bears, puppy dogs, kittens, and safari animals. I was also contacted to make a Creeper from the Minecraft games. Here is a picture of my creation:

The young boy also got a mine craft hat that I created. I am currently working on the pig from the same game for this young man. I am trying to keep this from my 8 year old granddaughter because she is a huge fan as well. :) I am working on one of my stuffed puppy dogs in a forest green and off white. I will gladly post a picture once he/she is finished.

I have been using a site that allows you to "chat" about many different subjects. For the chatting you earn points towards things such as gift cards or even cash sent to a paypal account. I love this site. While it takes a little while to get enough to cash out it all adds up. I will admit I don't spend the time on the site that would allow me to earn the cash quicker. However, they do have a Bonus Area which allows me to earn more points for doing things such as surveys, entering sweepstakes, watching videos, and listening to music. You really should check it out. Attempting to make some money doing things I love

As part of the new year, I came back to a site called bubbles.com. My profile on Bubblews can be found by clicking the link. For every person that clicks on one of my writings and either likes it or comments on it I get money in my bank. I can cash out when I reach $50 (once a month). I know $50 is not a lot of money but my plan is to get as many writing sites going and let it all add up. I am also working very hard on my Etsy store. Mom's Creative Creations I would really appreciate it if you would stop by and have a look. I am knit and crocheted items. Also, if you don't see exactly what you are looking for, please start a conversation with me. Most of my work is based on custom requests. Christmas 2014

It is that time of year again... Christmas. While I love Christmas and spending time with my family and friends it really does become crazy. For example, every morning this week I have gotten up and baked something for Christmas. Today (as I write this post) I have my second batch of banana nut bread in the oven. I do have to admit that I love the smell of baking goodies. Yesterday I spent all day wrapping Christmas presents and only have a few more to go today. Yes we have a very large family! To make things a little crazier this year, I stopped working for another employer and started working full time knitting through my Etsy.com store - Mom's Creative Creations . I have one gift to finish knitting before Christmas. I am staying positive it will happen. Our family got some great news the other night. I just found out that my son and his girlfriend got engaged. We will be planning a wedding very soon. In case I don't get the chance before Christmas, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. If your family celebrates a different holiday, please know I wish you a very Happy Holiday Season.

I have recently found a site that you can earn points by commenting on different areas. They also have an area where you can get "easy" points or take a daily poll to earn points. It really doesn't take too much time to earn enough points for such things as Amazon gift cards. You really should try this site! Quiet, Lazy Sunday

Today has been one of those days where I can't seem to get too interested in anything. I did manage to finish the last 10 pages of John Grisham's book "Sycamore Row". By the way this was a wonderful read. I highly recommend it. I have picked up and put down my knitting numerous times today. I can't seem to get into anything on the television...nothing interests me. It bothers me because I am fully aware that we only have so much time on this earth. I hate wasting days! HATE. I do feel like I have completely wasted a day that I will never get back. I also have to admit that the joints are so achy today. Even my fingers feel like they are twice the size as normal but they are not. Well, I need to go fix dinner and then try to force myself to knit some. I am test knitting a hat pattern for someone and really need to get through it. I am enjoying the pattern and hope to make some more. Yes, I am making it in very soft yarns so it can be a chemo cap for Baltimore-Chesapeake Head Huggers Group!

Making Money online

I am trying to find true legitimate ways to earn money either telecommuting or on-line. The problem is that so many sites are scams. I have started to blog on Bubblews.com. They will pay out at $50.00 but at first it takes a really long time to get to the $50 mark. I am also chatting on Chatabout.com. I have signed up for numerous sites to try to get transcription jobs as well. Please feel free to comment if you have any other legitimate work at home ideas.

Baby Sleeping Sack Items Needed: Size 7 circular Needles Suze 7 DPN set 1 skein of orange COMFORT DK (color A) 1 SKein of Pink COMFORT DK (color B) 1 skein of Zarina total Easy Care Color 1719 (color C) 1 Skein of Cool Wool color 11 (color D) DIRECTIONS: Cast on with yarn C 110 stitches. Join making sure the stitches are not twisted. knit 1 Round Purl 1 Round Change to Color A. knit 1 Round Purl 1 Round Change to Color D knit 1 Round Purl 1 Round Change to Color B. knit 1 Round Purl 1 Round Change to Color C and knit 4 Rounds. Change to Color A and knit 4 rounds. Change to Color D and knit 4 Rounds. Change to Color B and Knit 4 Rounds. You continue this pattern until you have knitted 22 1/2 inches. (If you are making for a smaller baby you can knit until 19 1/2 inches). Decrease: Continuing with the color pattern: Knit 9 stitches, ssk next stitch. Mini Snowman

Here is a design I created today: Mini Snowman Size 5 needles DK weight yarn (1 skein will probably make 5-6 snowman) white Scraps of yarn to make hats and scarfs With White yarn, cast on 10 stitches Row 1: K1, M1 in each stitch (20 stitches) Row 2: purl Row 3: K1, M1 in each stitch (40 stitches) Row 4: Purl Rows 5-23: Stockinette Stitch (ending with a purl row) Row 24: * K2, k2tog* repeat across Row 25: purl Row 26: *K1, k2tog* repeat across Row 27 – 39: stockinette stitch (ending with a purl row) Row 40: * K2, k2tog* repeat across Row: 41: Purl Row 42: *K1, k2tog* repeat across Cut yarn leaving a 12” tail, with a tapestry needle draw the yarn through the remaining stitches and draw the stitches together. Using the same yarn, sew the back of the snowman. Stuff the snowman and then draw the yarn through the bottom stitches, drawing the bottom closed. You can either use small eyes or use black yarn to embroider eyes on. Scarf Cast on 4 Rows 1-4 knit Row 5: knit 1, wrap the yarn 2x knit in next 2 stitches, wrap yarn 2x, knit 1 Row 6: knit 1, drop wrapped yarn, knit 2, drop wrapped yarn, knit 1 Repeat rows 1-6 until scarf is desired length.

I have busy knitting for Chrismas

It has been quite a while since I have blogged something. I want to share some of the knitting I have done over the last few month.

It has been awhile- Knitting

I had not realized just how long it has been since I blogged about anything, much less my knitting. I have been on a knitting frenzy over the last few months. I am beginning to realize that I can conquer patterns I did not think I could before.

Friends and family all seem to be having baby booms so I have been knitting a lot of baby items. I knitted this round blanket for a co-worker's granddaughter that turned 1 2 days ago. I thought I had a picture of it but apparently don't. :( It was light pink with a yellow center.

My oldest daughter and her husband are expecting their first child (Annabel Rose) any day now. Needless to say I have been keeping busy with my knitting for our newest little princess. I made a flower afghan and a sweater. The sweater is the first one I have ever made and will make more. I found the confidence in sweater making by this first little one. Here are the pictures of the blanket and sweater:




Once I made the sweater for Annabel, my oldest granddaughter, Alia, wanted a sweater also. I made it for her but have not seen her since I finished it to see if it fits. I hope to see her this weekend.


I am determined to lower my yarn stash so I am trying to make as many projects out of the yarn I have instead of buying. I am working on a knitting needle case for a friend that also knits. I am using left over yarn from a book bag project I made years ago. By the way, the little sweater for Annabel was made from left over yarns from a project I made when Alia was born. Alia will be 5 years old in April. Time just flies by.

I am also starting to think about little knit projects I can make for Christmas gifts for next year. It is never to soon to think about Christmas if you are making gifts.
